IMK Trio Brings the Daejeon Cosmopolitan Music Festival to KAIST

At the KAIST Art Museum, the 26th Daejeon Cosmopolitan Music Festival reached beyond the concert hall — the KAIST × DCMF collaboration expanding the resonance of classical music with masterworks by Mendelssohn and Dvořák.

The IMK Trio — violinist Liang Wang, cellist Meehae Ryo and pianist Chulhee Yoon — paired Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor with Dvořák’s “Dumky” Trio, while Yoon’s commentary drew the audience deeper into the music. Art and academia, the local and the international, met in one evening of chamber music.
